The Le Belle Voci women's ensemble at the Â鶹´«Ã½ (Â鶹´«Ã½) performed in October at the Georgia Choral Directors Association (Ga-ACDA) annual conference.

It was the first time Le Belle Voci received this prestigious honor, Dr. John Broman, director of choral activities and professor of music at Â鶹´«Ã½, said. Ga-ACDA is a nonprofit professional organization for choral directors.

The performance exposed the 19-member ensemble to choral directors from colleges and universities across Georgia.

Le Belle Voci features 15 to 20 Â鶹´«Ã½ students and a few community members. Each singer goes through a rigorous audition process, must sight-read music and have previous singing experience. The group rehearses twice a week and receives one hour of college credit.
